2023 Christmas Gift Guide

As Christmas approaches, it is always quite difficult to purchase your loved ones an appropriate gift. With this blog post, we are going to try and help you out with some helpful suggestions for items or products for Dad’s, Mum’s, Kids, Families, Stocking Fillers (both Luxury and £10 or less) and finally Pets.

The more stores we visit, the more we will add to the lists!

Dads

  1. The Bald Brothers Face and Scalp Set (Price: £34.99)
    • Now this does sound a bit random and is obviously for the more follicly challenged, but my husband has recently purchased this gift set from Amazon, and it has transformed his skin care game and has made his skin and his scalp much better. It is reasonably priced and for £34.99 from Amazon it is an ideal gift.
  2. Espresso Coffee Machine (Price: £107)
    • Every parent needs a good cup of coffee in the morning or in the afternoon as a pick-me-up, what better way to help then with an Espresso Coffee Machine. Now, coffee machines can vary in price and can become very expensive, but the machine I found below is at a great price and offers a stylish design to fit in every kitchen.
  3. After Shave – Dior Sauvage (Price: £74 – 60ml)
    • Dior Sauvage is quite a pricey parfum for men and has been around for a long time, but it is a favourite with most of the males I know. It can be purchased at several retailers, and you could probably pick up a good deal from certain other websites (the price I found was from Boots).
  4. First Drone (Price: £55.99)
    • We have never been too keen or bothered with investing in a drone but having seen this advertised I find it tempting as a gift for my husband. It is for the more amateur drone enthusiast but nonetheless it looks handy and is definitely something you can do as a family on days out.
  5. Uniqlo Fluffy Fleece Zipped Jacket (Price: £29.90)
    • My husband recently purchased this fleece zipped jacket and he could not be happier with it. It is super fluffy to touch and so warm – it goes well underneath a bigger jacket for the colder days and can be worn by itself too. Its versatility is a big plus and makes this a wonderful addition to your wardrobe.

Mums

  1. Perfume – Armani Si (Price: £52 – 30ml)
    • A few weeks ago, we were strolling through Covent Garden where we seen a free set up event for a new fragrance from Armani. We stopped, queued for a short period of time, and then entered the huge make-shift bottle. The experience was great and at the end we were given a few free samples, and this is when I requested my husband to add this to my Christmas list. The smell is lovely, it has hints of roses and blackcurrant liqueur and is fresh and vibrant.
  2. Jo Malone Candle (Price: £56)
    • It is always nice to get home after a hard day’s work, get out of the cold and light up a lovely candle in the living room, the best of the best candle would be a Jo Malone Candle. I know they are ridiculously expensive and for me, they are not something I would buy myself but would be happy to receive one as a gift – which is why it is on this list.
  3. Hotel Chocolat – Hot Chocolate Velvetiser (Price: £99.95)
    • A few years ago, my husband bought me a Velvetiser for Christmas and my Hot Chocolate game has never been the same again. The product is so good at making the most luxurious hot chocolate, with Hotel Chocolat’s different styles of chocolate the choices are endless. Every year around Autumn time, I set up my Hot Chocolate workstation and make endless amounts of hot chocolate throughout the day! This is a product that should be in every household.
  4. Beauty Works AERIS Multi-Styler (Price: £220)
    • Recently found this dupe to the Dyson Hair Wipe and at half the price, could be a really good quality gift for all woman / mum’s out there who think £400 for a hair wipe might be on the more expensive side. According to the ratings on the site, it is super functional and does everything at the same quality as the more expensive version.

Kids

  1. Harry Potter Dobby the House Elf Lego Set (Currently on sale at £17.99 RRP £24.99)
    • Our daughter is a big fan of both Harry Potter and Lego, so combining these 2 interests is ideal. The set is cute, has posable head, ears, arms, and fingers and includes a couple of fun Harry Potter accessories such as Aunt Petunia’s Floating Birthday Cake and a model of Tom Riddle’s Diary and Harry Potter’s sock. Currently on sale, it is worth picking this up now and putting it away for Christmas.

    • Like most kids, my daughter loves listening to music and with this Bluetooth speaker, she could take her music with her and for a very reasonable price. The device has a sleek design and is easy to connect your devices to.
  6. Uniqlo Kids Fluffy Fleece Zipped Jacket (Price: £19.90)
    • To go along with the one added for the dad’s, this can be purchased for kids too. We actually bought 2 for our daughter recently and she wears it all the time now. With the winter months coming, this fleece is so good for kids!
  7. Pinky Promise Collectables (Prices from £3.49 – £12.99)
    • Our daughter absolutely loves collectables and blind bags, these products from Bandai hit the specification for her. The collection is extensive and with the fact you can wear them on jewellery makes them so much cooler.

Families

  1. UNO (Price: £4.99)
    • This is a family favourite in our household and is a game that truly gets every family member around the table and is played throughout the Christmas period. If you are unaware of what UNO is (where have you been?), it is a card game of matching colours and numbers which now comes with Wild Cards for extra excitement. Players will take turns trying to get rid of their cards by matching a card in their hand with the current card shown on top of the deck by either the colour or the number.
  2. Merlin Attractions UK Annual Pass – https://garciafamilyuk.com/2023/08/22/merlin-annual-pass-is-it-worth-it/
    • We have previously waxed lyrical about the Merlin Annual Pass and would definitely add this to the list for family members.
  3. Dobble (Price £8.00)
    •  Another family card game is on the list, this one, just like Uno is fun and also reasonably priced. Dobble offers 5-in-1 games and is great for bringing away on holiday or even on a day out.
