We were lucky enough to be invited to check out the Halloween Festival at Old MacDonald’s Farm in Brentwood, Essex.
It was our first time visiting this farm and were really looking forward to seeing how good it is and experiencing their exciting Halloween Festival event for 2023.
Old MacDonald’s Farm has a huge array of farm animals and a few more exotic ones too (including 3 tortoises, meerkats, otters, and wallabies), loads of places to eat and also has a few fairground rides which make this petting farm very unique.
After walking around the farm, dodging the intermittent downpours of rain, and getting our bearing’s, we made our way to the Halloween section of the farm.
There is a lot of Halloween themed things to do on our visit during this festival. There is a special Haunted House walk through attraction, a beautifully decorated Pumpkin Trail (it honestly reminded us of being in America), Pick Your Own Pumpkin (every child gets 1 pumpkin free), Scary Stories with a Storyteller, free fun Halloween tattoos and you can also have the chance of meeting the OMD Dragons.
Old MacDonald’s Farm Halloween Festival starts on 21st October and runs until the 31st October.

We had a lovely Saturday afternoon at Old MacDonald’s Farm and would definitely recommend attending the Halloween event. The Halloween trail was lovely and there were so many photo opportunities and things for the kids to do and see! Having the rides to do, a huge soft play and animals to see (and pet at certain times during the day), makes this a worthwhile trip!
