On the weekend we attended a special screening of the live action remake of Lilo and Stitch. I was so excited, and it actually fell on my birthday too which was extra fun!
This new version is quite a lot like the original, but not exactly the same. I had heard that it is shot-for-shot, but that is not the case!! Hello! No Pleakley dressed as a granny!! Bubbles’ character is also better explained as it was a little strange in the original. I really liked Nani’s character so much in the live version because you can tell how much she loves Lilo. I think there was more of a focus on Nani in this new version and it made more sense.
I thought it was really heart-warming when Stitch had to get on the spaceship and Lilo sneaks onboard to help him.
Do I still love the original? YES! The fact that a lot of it was all silly was what I enjoyed the most. It didn’t have to make sense because the message was clear. I thought the new movie was really magical and we have already booked to see it again! Stitch is the cutest ever!!!!!!!
