The lovely people at Word United sent us this wooden lacing pony by Hape Toys.
Lacing games are traditional Montessori toys which I love.
They help improve fine motor skills, hand and eye coordination, cognitive thinking, problem solving, patience, dexterity and concentration. More so, they also help with visual perception which was why I wanted to use this toy whilst Ita was wearing her patch. 15 minutes doing this would be equal to about an hour wearing the patch doing other activities.
Ita was concentrating so hard that she completely forgot about her eye patch and focused on lacing the beads for ages.
I really find it hard to find any faults in this particular toy.
Really recommended.
